My Roommate, The Vampire | It's A Trap |
"Best Laid Plans" is the 16th episode of Carmilla. It aired on September 23rd, 2014.
Logline[]
Laura and her crew discuss the merits of the "bait" plan when some guests show up and give Laura a "brilliant" idea.
Synopsis[]
Laura and LaFontaine begin to categorize the items in the dorm, hoping that some of them can double as anti-vampire weaponry. Danny is unconvinced that a physical confrontation is the best option while Perry refuses to believe that Carmilla is a vampire in the first place.
While discussing how they'll even capture Carmilla, Kirsch, with Will, Natalie and Sarah Jane in tow, show up to invite the group to a bonfire party that the Zetas are hosting. Kirsch also concedes that the behavior of the two women with him is indeed strange, and Laura takes the opportunity to ask for his help in capturing Carmilla. Kirsch readily lends his assistance for the task ahead.
Danny is less than thrilled that the Zetas will be helping out, but Laura states that extra muscle and by extension assistance is a good thing. Later on, while she's alone in the dorm room, Laura studies vampire lore and practices anti-vampire tactics.
Sometime later, after she's gone to bed, Laura awakens due to a dream. She finds Carmilla standing by the window, stargazing. Laura invites Carmilla to the upcoming party, to which she accepts, leading Laura to nervously bid her goodnight before returning to bed. Later that night she wakes suddenly because of a dream. Carmilla is standing by the window, looking at the stars. Laura uses this opportunity to invite Carmilla to the party the that Zetas are throwing. Carmilla accepts, and Laura nervously wishes her goodnight before going to bed.

Quotes[]
Danny: Okay, explain to me again how offering yourself as bait to your bloodsucking roommate is not the worst idea ever devised by womankind. |
Laura: (Pulls out bear spray) How do we feel about bear spray? |
Laura: What would Mina Harker do? ...Get bitten. Mina Harker would totally try and act all alluring to the bloodsucking fiend and totally get bitten. Let's not do that. |
