"While You Weren't Watching" is the 18th episode of Carmilla. It aired on September 30th, 2014.
Logline[]
Laura and the gang do their best to figure out what the heck is going on and get an unexpected bit of info from Carmilla. Also: Sarah-Jane unfortunately fell. And died.
Synopsis[]
Laura is distraught over the sudden turn of events, wondering how it happened despite Carmilla's capture. Danny and LaFontaine return, stating they found cards similar to the one that Laura found when Betty went missing, as well as the same type of goo that Laura had seen, of which LaFontaine has taken samples of.
The card in the now deceased Sarah Jane's room indicates that she was supposed to be abducted, and that her death was an accident. According to Kirsch, Natalie went missing first, so he went to investigate her disappearance, leaving Sarah Jane behind, where she was killed when she fell from a third floor balcony. Kirsch turns his anger on Carmilla and accuses her of killing Sarah Jane, but Danny stops him, stating that Carmilla was tied up and thus isn't the culprit.
Kirsch leaves the room, leaving Laura and the others to plot a course of action. They all agree that leaving Carmilla tied up is the best option, although Perry argues that they cannot keep a hostage in Laura's room.
LaFontaine and Danny suggest moving her, but Laura overrules them and states Carmilla stays until they discover the extent of her involvement. Laura removes the tape from her mouth and asks exactly how girls went missing despite Carmilla being tied up.
To the shock of all involved, Carmilla states that she was not responsible for their abductions.
