"Breaking Up (With An Amazon) Is Hard to Do" is the 24th episode of Carmilla. It aired on October 21st, 2014.
Logline[]
Laura finds out what Danny + Stake + Carmilla equals and has to defend her emotional and social independence when Danny puts her in an awkward position.
Synopsis[]
I won't let you hurt her!
Carmilla, in short order, overpowers Danny, who despite being choked, defiantly proclaims she will not allow the vampire to hurt Laura. Carmilla points out that Laura isn't the one in trouble at the moment, before Laura intercedes as Carmilla issues a death threat to Danny. After Laura pleads for her to let Danny live, Carmilla reluctantly lets her go.
I was... I was scared for you.
Laura makes sure Danny is okay, saying she has everything under control. Danny disagrees, pointing out all the times she's put herself in danger, specifically, the excursion to the library, the incident with Will and Carmilla herself. Laura tries to justify her actions, turning to the camera, which upsets Danny, who demands that Laura stop focusing on her vlogs.
I like that you're brave and strong and all kinds of righteous but I don't need a dad. I've already got that one covered.
Realizing the conversation is about to take a turn for the worse, Perry and LaFontaine leave the room as quickly as possible, but Carmilla stays, both to watch the fireworks and add her own sarcastic comments to the manner. Laura defends her vlogs, to which Danny states she doesn't disagree with Laura posting them, but she should at least call Danny first. Laura becomes upset at the request, which Danny aggravates further by stating that it's her job to protect Laura. The woman in question expresses her feelings that Danny is acting like her father and restricting her, and she doesn't want Danny to follow that path.
God, I hate this place.
Danny goes to accuse Carmilla in regards to recent events, but Laura stops her saying the argument is between the two of them. Danny reluctantly agrees to back off, leaving a warning to Carmilla before her departure, stating she will come back and exact revenge if Laura is harmed. After she's gone, the two remaining women in the room hear loud noises outside. When Laura investigates, she is shoved away from the window, which Carmilla shuts in a hurry. Outside, giant mushrooms have begun to sprout.
